Overview
An easygoing day at one of Guanacaste's best-kept swimming spots. North of Liberia, the Río Blanco slows into a string of bright blue pools and small falls framed by dry forest: float the gentle rapids on an inner tube, jump from the rocks, duck into the Coyote cave and walk a short trail to the twin pools of Las Gemelas. Shallow edges make it easy for kids; a swim through a slot canyon to a hidden waterfall rewards the adventurous.
